Administration has released the final draft district plans and policy with some minor changes to the policy and minor adjustments to the boundaries of some nodes and corridors. With this, they have also thankfully released open data for the node and corridor boundaries, which makes compiling plots and maps easier. Given this new data, I’m redoing all the charts and maps from my previous post where I looked at what planning permissions district planning would give around Edmonton’s current and funded LRT stations.
To recap, I’ve profiled every current and funded Edmonton LRT station area using:
- District planning maps for nodes and corridors.
- Zoning Bylaw open data.
- StatCan census via censusmapper.
Node and corridor coverage
First, here is the raw node and corridor coverage according to the final draft district plans for each of the LRT stations.
Compared to BC’s TOD policy
Here, I have combined the nodes and corridors, somewhat subjectively, into larger density buckets to compare them with British Columbia’s new TOD policy.
